The Town of Highlands sought contractors with fire department experience and asked for help from their trusted architect, Pinnacle Architecture, for the best method of construction for their station. Choosing the CM @ Risk method, D. R. Reynolds Company was selected as the most qualified contractor to perform the project. Totaling 19,610sf and having the ability to house thirteen pieces of apparatus, storage for all needed gear, a training room, and sleep quarters for its members. Because the station is two stories, an elevator will be installed and a slide pole for the needs of the station.
The new Fire Station utilizes beautiful natural rock, brick veneer, and wood siding, to closely resemble its neighboring structures. The Town of Highlands project was completed in December 2023.
