South Salisbury Fire Department
Description
Committee members at South Salisbury VFD knew they had a to upgrade their resources and reached out to D. R. Reynolds Company for two major needs: 1- add additional bays to hold incoming trucks used to help service their community and 2- renovate their existing space to hold additional members of the fire department. Having those basics in mind, D. R. Reynolds Company and South Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department were able to come up with an affordable Design-Build that gave the fire station room for growth and took care of the immediate need for space.
Offices, training, bedrooms, equipment, fitness, storage, and fire protection were all integrated into the new station. 80’ deep truck bays were built to handle present and future truck needs for the station. A welcoming atmosphere was built for the firemen. Construction lasted 7 months and when complete, enhanced the existing building and allowed South Salisbury to never miss any service calls that came their way.
